Walnut Halva Ingredients:

  • 100 g butter
  • 1 teacup (approx. 125 ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teacup crushed walnuts

Syrup Ingredients:

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups hot water or milk (600 ml)

Preparation Steps:

First, heat the sugar and milk (or water/milk mixture) in a suitable saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. You can use water, milk, or a combination of both for the syrup.

In a deep pan, melt the butter with the vegetable oil. Once melted, add the flour. Continuously stir the flour over medium heat until its color changes. After the flour is toasted, add the crushed walnuts and continue stirring for another 1-2 minutes.

Carefully pour the prepared syrup over the flour mixture. Stir constantly until the halva absorbs the syrup and thickens to the desired consistency. Once ready, remove from the heat. Shape the warm halva with a spoon and transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
