Crispy Gochujang Tofu Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Tofu:

  • 1 480g block firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Sea salt, to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

For the Tofu:

  1. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu with cornflour, oil, garlic powder, and a pinch of sea salt until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (392°F).
  4. Place the tofu in a single layer and air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crispy.

For the Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together gochujang, toasted sesame oil, maple syrup, tamari, and sesame seeds.
  2. Once the tofu is crispy, toss it in the Gochujang sauce until well coated.
